Our core philosophy
We are designers, futurists and dreamers, dedicated to creating a better and brighter future through design and cooperation. Our visual branding conveys our uniqueness and story-telling ability. Our name, logo and visual DNA have all been crafted to represent our core philosophy on design as well as our vision for the future.
Brand visual
Our name
Our name is a word we crafted ourselves. It carries a special meaning and frame of thought.

A new era
We are undoubtably at the dawn of a new era, one of machines. Humanity has invented tools for millennia to expand our own capabilities. Yet we now stand at the frontier of an unprecedented level of automation. Beyond that, we are witnessing the birth of machine intelligence. Humans rely more on machines to function, sometimes nearly becoming one with their devices, while machines become more and more human… What will a world of humans and machines be like? What dangers must be avoided? What positive foundations and relationships can be built? As designers, we are compelled to work with others to explore this future and help build a better one.
Time and Balance
We believe it is up to us designers, creators and builders to find the best ways
to answer today’s and tomorrow’s challenges by striving to keep a healthy
balance between human and machine, taking the best of both worlds
and working in symbiosis.

1 + 1 = 3
The Eramakina logo carries several symbolic meanings, one of which is how the letter “E” is composed of two rotated “A” shapes from the names of the two founders, Axel and Albert, who came together as designers with a 1+1=3 mindset—meaning two combined talents are worth more than their simple addition. The arrow shape then combines the two “As” and points forward: together forward.

Sci-Fi
Our logo was also designed to be techy, playful and to reflect our love for science fiction. It looks like both “E” and “M” for Era-makina (era of machines) and draws inspiration from futuristic HUDs and interfaces, as well as from the greek letter Sigma.

Philosophy
Eramakina Spirit
We summarize our core programming and building philosophy in one expression—"Eramakina Spirit"—which is composed of four main pillars: Positive Futurism, Intelligence, Human-Machine Balance, and Creative Passion.

The team
Founders and designers
We are a small team of two founders and designers. Our training and experience come from the world of transportation and industrial design.

Co-Founder
Axel Kurkjian
Axel is French-born designer who graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena California in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design. He started his professional experience at Faraday Future, Tesla and then BYD, going from junior designer to senior and Exterior Team Leader for the Los Angeles Advanced Design Studio. Axel also worked on divers industrial and technology designs as freelancer for many years on the side as well.

Co-Founder
Albert Soto
Albert is a Mexican-American Automotive and Industrial Designer who earned his Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from ArtCenter College of Design in 2018. After an internship at BYD, he quickly made his way into the automotive industry working for the global Chinese auto-maker, where he has gained hands-on experience for many years. Albert focuses on making designs that genuinely connect with people, bringing a mix of creativity, consistency, and a grounded approach. As a designer, Albert enjoys working through challenges and turning ideas into something real, functional, and purposeful. His interests include off-roading, racing, sports, tech, and art—things that continue to shape how he thinks about design.
